Organized by PG Association to Promote Awareness and Creativity Among Students

A poster competition focusing on Renewable Energy and Environmental Issues was successfully organized by the Postgraduate Association of the Department of Economics, University of Allahabad. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of sustainable development and the role of renewable energy in mitigating environmental challenges.

Postgraduate students actively participated in the event by presenting insightful posters that emphasized the significance and contemporary relevance of topics like renewable energy, environmental protection, and women empowerment. Their creative presentations reflected both academic understanding and social concern.

The winners of the poster competition were:

• First Prize: Arpita Singh
• Second Prize: Tripti Yadav
• Third Prize: Afreen Jahan

Their posters were appreciated for creativity, clarity, and depth of content.

Judgment and Encouragement

The posters were evaluated by Dr. Pawan Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, Centre of Environmental Studies, University of Allahabad, who served as the judge for the competition. He praised the students for their awareness and innovative expression on crucial environmental topics.

Prof. Kiran Singh, Head of the Department of Economics, congratulated all the participants and encouraged them to continue exploring and contributing to such socially relevant issues. She emphasized the need for youth engagement in environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

अर्थशास्त्र विभाग, इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के परास्नातक स्तर के बिजी बीज एसोसिएशन द्वारा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा एवं पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों पर पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया  ।कार्यक्रम में परास्नातक के छात्र- छात्राओं ने नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा, पर्यावरण सरंक्षण, एवं महिला सशक्तिकरण जैसे विषयों की महत्वता और वर्तमान समय में प्रासंगिकता बताते हुए पोस्टर का प्रस्तुतिकरण किया । प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम , द्वितीय एवं तृतीय स्थान पर क्रमश :अर्पिता सिंह, तृप्ति यादव, आफरीन जहाँ को प्राप्त हुआ कार्यक्रम में निर्णायक की भूमिका में डा. पवन कुमार झा, असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर, पर्यावरण अध्ययन केंद्र, इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय रहे,विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो  किरण सिंह ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को बधाई देते हुए और बेहतर करने की प्रेरणा दी। कार्यक्रम में  प्रो जावेद अख्तर , डा धर्मनाथ उराव, डा प्रदीप कुमार सिंह,  डा गरिमा मौर्य उपस्थित रहे । कार्यक्रम का संचालन शोध छात्रा दिव्यम पाल ने किया ।
