Empowering Voices Through Poetry and Promoting NEP 2020

Under the dynamic leadership of Monika Hanspal, UGC-NEP SAARTHI, GNA University, Punjab, recently hosted a vibrant Poetry Competition as part of the Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav, aligning with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This initiative forms a part of the larger movement by NEP SAARTHIs – student ambassadors selected to spread awareness and engagement around the policy among students and institutions across India.
Celebrating Linguistic Diversity Through Art
The Poetry Competition held on 24th February 2025 served as a powerful platform to celebrate India’s rich linguistic heritage. With the theme “Let Your Words Paint,” the event invited student poets to express their creativity, thoughts, and emotions in diverse Indian languages. Monika Hanspal encouraged participation from all linguistic backgrounds, reflecting the spirit of inclusiveness promoted by NEP 2020.
Active Participation and Enthusiastic Response
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike. The competition was held in the university auditorium, which saw a packed house, reflecting the growing interest in language-based cultural initiatives.
