M.Ed. and Ph.D. Scholars from University of Allahabad Complete Internship at CIET-NCERT, New Delhi
Collaborative initiative marks a milestone in educational technology exposure for future educators
New Delhi – A group of 20 M.Ed. students and Ph.D. researchers from the Department of Education, University of Allahabad, recently concluded a three-day internship at the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, New Delhi. This initiative was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Manish Kumar Gautam, Dr. Sheelu Kacchap, and Dr. Virendra Chandoria, and aimed to provide hands-on exposure to digital innovations in education aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Inaugural Session: Welcoming Young Scholars to CIET
The internship commenced with an enlightening inaugural session led by Prof. Amarendra P. Behera, Joint Director, CIET-NCERT. He warmly welcomed the participants and provided an insightful overview of CIET’s crucial role in integrating educational technology across India’s school system. Prof. Behera emphasized CIET’s contribution to national digital initiatives and underscored the institution’s commitment to innovation in teaching and learning.
Interactive Technical Sessions with CIET Experts
Coordinated by Dr. T. K. Rao (CIET-NCERT), the internship featured multiple technical sessions by subject experts:
- Dr. Jipsy Malhotra delivered an engaging session on “Using Web Tools for Innovative Pedagogy”, offering participants practical exposure to digital strategies for effective teaching and learning.
- Dr. Pranita Gopal conducted a hands-on session on the “Development of Animation and Graphics”, introducing participants to the creative processes behind interactive educational content.
- Dr. Rajesh D. concluded the program with a session on “Engagement with the Educational Learning Channel (ELC) and Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK)”, highlighting the transformative role of these platforms in school education.
University of Allahabad Celebrates Collaborative Achievement
Prof. Dhananjai Yadav, Head, Department of Education, University of Allahabad, extended his congratulations and best wishes to all participants. He lauded the successful organization of this first-ever collaborative internship between the University of Allahabad and NCERT, and expressed optimism about more such partnerships in the future to enhance educational research and teacher training.
