India’s Biggest Inter-College Crossword Hunt Starts May 2025

AICTE & IIM Mumbai Launch National Crossword Championship for Students

National Inter-College Crossword Expedition (NICE 25) Kicks Off in May

The much-anticipated NICE 25 – National Inter-College Crossword Expedition is set to begin this May, offering students across India a unique opportunity to showcase their word skills and compete for top honors. Organized in collaboration with prestigious institutions including IIM Mumbai and AICTE, the event promises to blend fun, learning, and competition through a series of engaging crossword rounds.

Online Rounds to Begin on 4th May 2025

The expedition will commence with a Practice Round on 4th May 2025, followed by four competitive scoring rounds named after the event acronym – N, I, C, and E. These will take place every Sunday at 10:30 AM, with the final round scheduled for 1st June 2025.

Format and Participation Details

All registered participants can attempt the online rounds via the website nice.crypticsingh.com or through the NICE Android app. Each round will involve a variety of crossword clues and formats:

• Clue-based hints for the N and I rounds
• Innovative Crymple Grids for the C and E rounds

The rounds are designed to run from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on their respective dates.

Recognition and Rewards

Winners of each round will be rewarded, with a Round Winner and a Lucky Winner chosen every week. Moreover, certificates will be awarded to participants securing top positions at the state, district, and institutional levels, ensuring broad recognition of talent.

Final Leaderboard and Scoring

The final leaderboard will be prepared by aggregating scores from the four main rounds (N, I, C, E). Notably, the practice round score will not be considered for the final tally.
