The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the CSIR UGC NET December 2024 session result today, April 17, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their results on the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in using their Application Number and Date of Birth.
Along with the result, the final answer key for the exam has also been published by the NTA.
How to Check CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Result
To access your result, follow the steps below:
- Visit the official NTA CSIR NET website: csirnet.nta.ac.in
- Click on the link titled “CSIR UGC NET December 2024 Result” available on the homepage.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth to log in.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save your scorecard.
- Take a printout for future reference.
CSIR NET December 2024: Exam Details
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET December 2024 examination was conducted by the NTA in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from February 28 to March 2, 2025, across two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
The exam was conducted for 2,38,451 registered candidates, out of which 1,74,785 candidates appeared.
Eligibility Criteria and Qualifying Marks
Candidates who clear the CSIR NET exam will receive:
- Eligibility Certificate for Assistant Professorship
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Award Letter, if applicable
To qualify, candidates must secure the following minimum marks:
- 33% for General, EWS, and OBC categories
- 25% for SC, ST, and PwD categories
Only those who meet or exceed these cut-off marks will be considered eligible for JRF and/or Assistant Professorship.

- Apply for Assistant Professor positions in Indian colleges and universities
