Adhivakta Parishad to Host Special Talk on Gender Challenges and Mental Health of Women Lawyers

Talk on "Navigating Courtroom Challenges: A Woman’s Perspective" by Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, Allahabad Highcourt Unit.
Prayagraj, April 7, 2025 – In a significant step towards fostering inclusivity and well-being within the legal profession, the Allahabad High Court Unit of Adhivakta Parishad is set to organize a thought-provoking talk addressing two critical issues faced by women in law — courtroom challenges and mental health.

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM, will be held at the Advocates’ Association Hall of the Allahabad High Court. Titled “Empowering Women in Law: Addressing Challenges, Advocating Wellness,” the program is part of the Adhivakta Parishad’s ongoing efforts to build a more equitable and resilient legal ecosystem.

The event will begin with a keynote session on “Navigating Courtroom Challenges: A Woman’s Perspective,” spotlighting the underrepresented experiences of women legal professionals. Speakers will delve into gender bias, structural barriers, and the strategies adopted by women to carve a space for themselves in the traditionally male-dominated legal arena.

Following the keynote, a second session titled “Mental Health and Well-being for Women Lawyers” will explore the psychological toll of legal practice. With rising concerns over stress, burnout, and work-life imbalance, especially among women advocates, this session will offer expert insights, coping strategies, and a call for greater institutional support.

Organizers emphasize that the program aims not only to raise awareness but also to initiate constructive dialogue and policy-level thinking around gender and mental health in the legal field.

The event is open to advocates, judges, academicians, and law students, and the organizers are encouraging wide participation to ensure a holistic and representative discussion.
