UP Board High School and Intermediate Exams Begin Monday: Over 54 Lakh Students to Appear

The UP Board is all set to conduct its High School and Intermediate exams from Monday, February 24, across 8,140 examination centers in the state. A total of 54,37,233 students will appear for the exams. The UP Board has issued strict guidelines to ensure fair examinations and prevent malpractice.

Mandatory Roll Number on Every Page to Prevent Fraud

To maintain the integrity of the examination, the UP Board has directed center administrators to ensure that each student writes their copy serial number and roll number on every page of the answer sheet. This step has been taken to prevent cases of answer sheet swapping, which has been reported in previous years.

Strict Surveillance: One Invigilator for Every 20 Students

The UP Board has deployed strict monitoring measures to prevent cheating. According to the guidelines:

  • One invigilator will be assigned for every 20 students
  • Two invigilators for 40 students
  • Three invigilators for 41 to 60 students

Additionally, static magistrates, sector magistrates, and zonal officers will be personally responsible for conducting a fair and peaceful examination. The UP Board has appointed senior education department officials in all 75 districts to oversee the process.

Corruption Complaints: Bribery for Admit Cards Reported

The UP Board has received complaints on social media about students being asked for illegal payments to receive their admit cards. He warned that strict action will be taken against any school found guilty.
