UGC-NET 2024: Candidates Can Challenge Answer Key at ₹200 Per Question
UGC-NET Answer Key Out: Follow These Steps to Raise Objections Before Deadline
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Provisional Answer Key for the UGC-NET December 2024 examination and invited candidates to submit challenges against any discrepancies. The exam was conducted for 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple cities in India.
Answer Key Challenge Window
Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key can submit their objections online at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The challenge process started on January 31, 2025 (06:00 PM) and will remain open until February 3, 2025 (06:00 PM).
Fee for Challenging the Answer Key
A non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question is applicable.
Payment can be made via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
No challenge will be considered without payment of the processing fee.
Steps to Challenge the Answer Key
1. Login to the NTA website using Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
2. Click on “View Answer Sheet” to check marked responses.
3. Select the question(s) to challenge and upload supporting documents in a single PDF file.
4. Click "Submit and Review Claims" before finalizing.
5. Modify claims if necessary and proceed to "Final Submit".
6. Pay the required fee and complete the process.
Procedure for Challenge of Answer Key(s) of UGC-NET December 2024 Examination
1. Please go to NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Click 'Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key'
3. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter the security pin as displayed and submit.
4. Click on "View Answer Sheet" for marked responses and to view or challenge the Answer keys, click on the link Click "Challenge" button to view provisional answer keys and challenge the questions.
5. You will see Question IDs in sequential order, candidates are advised to see question as per Question ID not as per sequence number.
6. The ID next to the question under the column 'Correct Option(s)' stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA. The Dropped Questions are highlighted and not for challenge.
7. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
8. You may upload supporting documents in which you can select 'Choose File' and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).
9. After clicking your desired option, scroll down, 'Submit and review Claims' and move to the nextscreen.
10. You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
11. Click on 'Modify your Claims' in case you wish to modify the claims OR 'Final Submit'.
12. After saving the claims, you will find a screen displaying your Challenges.
13. Kindly pay the fee by clicking on 'Pay Now'. The claims will be saved finally after successful payment of requisite fee.
14. Select mode of payment and pay your fee @ Rs.200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI.

Final Decision on Challenges
Challenges will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts.
If a challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly, and the updated key will apply to all candidates.
Candidates will not receive individual notifications regarding the acceptance or rejection of their challenge.
The final answer key will be published after the review process.
