NEET UG 2025: UP Board Students Face Issues in Form Filling, NTA Assures Solution

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025, with the deadline set for March 7, 2025. To date, approximately 640,000 candidates have submitted their applications. However, students from the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board are encountering specific challenges during the form-filling process.

Challenges Faced by UP Board Students

Pankaj Khandelwal, who manages an NTA form-filling center in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, highlighted that UP Board students are unable to locate their board's name in the list provided on the application form. While other boards are listed, the UP Board is conspicuously absent. As a workaround, these students are selecting the 'Others Board' option and manually entering 'UP Board' as their board name. This omission has led to confusion and concern among applicants.

To address these concerns, center officials are reassuring students that selecting the 'Others Board' option and manually entering 'UP Board' will not adversely affect their application. This guidance aims to alleviate the anxiety stemming from the board's omission in the predefined list.

Correction Window Availability

Educational expert Dev Sharma noted that, unlike previous years, the application deadline for JEE MAIN 2025 was not extended, suggesting a similar approach might be adopted for NEET UG 2025. Nonetheless, the NTA has scheduled a correction window from March 9 to March 11, 2025, allowing candidates to rectify any errors in their applications. Applicants are advised to ensure the accuracy of their uploaded passport-sized photographs, address proofs, and scanned signatures during the initial submission to minimize the need for corrections.
