He made an insightful comparison between the Western model of urban development and Bharat’s unique approach to balancing economic growth with cultural values. While the West often industrializes at the cost of cleanliness, Bharat can integrate sustainability with economic development.
Drawing from the teachings of Sanatana Dharma, he stressed Bharat's longstanding principle of “लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु” (May all beings be happy). Unlike other nations, Bharat has never sought dominance but has shared its wisdom with the world. Despite centuries of invasions, Bharat’s cultural identity remains intact, now positioning it to lead the AI revolution with a focus on Dharma and conscious technology.
Delving deeper into the relationship between Sanskriti (culture), Rashtra (nation), and Rajya (state), Deepak argued that focusing solely on the state without acknowledging cultural and national identity can cause fragmentation. He asserted that Sanskriti must take precedence over secularism, as reflected in Bharat's Constitution, which upholds cultural values like cow protection and Section 295A IPC.
He also questioned the state's secular nature, citing the government's involvement in temple management, such as with the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and the redistribution of temple resources to smaller shrines. While constitutional, this practice challenges the state's secular label.
Deepak concluded his address by calling for a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition, urging Bharat to retain its rich cultural identity while actively contributing to global progress.
“लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु” should be Bharat's guiding mantra, he said, as the nation continues its journey, powered by its culture, constitution, and eternal 'Shakti.'
