CUET (PG) 2025 Registration Deadline Extended: NTA Announces New Dates
New Delhi, January 31, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension in the registration dates for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET(PG)] – 2025. The decision comes in response to multiple requests from candidates and stakeholders, ensuring a wider opportunity for aspirants seeking admission to postgraduate programs in various central and participating universities.
Revised Registration and Fee Payment Deadlines
As per the official notification released by the NTA, the deadline for online submission of the application form, which was earlier set from January 2, 2025, to February 1, 2025, has now been extended until February 8, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM). Similarly, the final transaction of the application fee, previously scheduled until February 2, 2025, has been extended until February 9, 2025.
Candidates who wish to make corrections in their application forms will now have the opportunity to do so from February 10, 2025, to February 12, 2025. Earlier, this correction window was set between February 3 and February 5, 2025.
Universities Directed to Inform Candidates
The NTA has urged all participating universities to upload the public notice regarding the revised dates on their respective official websites. This step aims to ensure that prospective candidates are well-informed about the extension.
Clarification on Scribe Information Requirement
The notice also includes an important directive from the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in W.P.(C) 939/2025. It states that details about the scribe, such as name, date of birth, Aadhaar number, ID, and qualifications, in the application form are not mandatory. This information has been provided to ensure clarity among stakeholders.
Application Fee
General category candidates will have to pay Rs 1,400 as application fee for a maximum of two papers and an additional Rs 700 for additional test papers. OBC-NCL and EWS will have to pay Rs 1,200 for two papers and an extra Rs 600 per additional subject. Whereas, candidates belonging to SC, ST, third gender will have to deposit Rs 1,100 and PwD will have to pay Rs 1,000 for appearing in up to two papers.
