एनटीए को तत्काल कदम उठाने की जरूरत – ऑल इंडिया ओबीसी स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन

नई दिल्ली, सोमवार: ऑल इंडिया ओबीसी स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन (AIOBCSA) ने राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी (NTA) से मांग की है कि वह कॉमन यूनिवर्सिटी एंट्रेंस टेस्ट फॉर पोस्टग्रेजुएट (CUET-PG) परीक्षा क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में आयोजित करने के लिए तत्काल कदम उठाए। फिलहाल यह परीक्षा केवल अंग्रेजी और हिंदी में आयोजित की जाती है लेकिन एसोसिएशन ने इसे संविधान की आठवीं अनुसूची में शामिल प्रमुख भाषाओं में भी उपलब्ध कराने की मांग की है।

राज्य सरकारों और सामाजिक संगठनों से अपील

एसोसिएशन ने राज्य सरकारों, राजनीतिक दलों और नागरिक समाज संगठनों से अपील की कि वे इस मांग का समर्थन करें। उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में परीक्षा आयोजित करने से भाषा की विविधता को बढ़ावा मिलेगा और समावेशी शिक्षा प्रणाली को मजबूती मिलेगी।

ग्रामीण और गैर-हिंदीभाषी छात्रों के लिए समान अवसर जरूरी

एसोसिएशन के अनुसार, उच्च शिक्षा तक सभी छात्रों की समान पहुंच सुनिश्चित करना बेहद जरूरी है, विशेष रूप से ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों और गैर-हिंदी भाषी राज्यों के छात्रों के लिए। वर्तमान में CUET-PG केवल हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में उपलब्ध होने के कारण ऐसे छात्रों के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करना मुश्किल हो जाता है, जिससे उनके लिए असमान स्थिति उत्पन्न होती है।

शिक्षा में सामाजिक न्याय और समावेशिता जरूरी

एसोसिएशन ने कहा कि क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं को सीयूईटी-पीजी परीक्षा से बाहर रखना सरकार की समावेशी और सुलभ शिक्षा की नीति के खिलाफ है। उन्होंने कहा, "शिक्षा में सामाजिक न्याय को सुनिश्चित करने और भाषा को उच्च शिक्षा के लिए बाधा बनने से रोकने के लिए, एनटीए को आगामी परीक्षा सत्र से क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं का विकल्प उपलब्ध कराना चाहिए।"

एसोसिएशन ने एनटीए से आग्रह किया कि वह जल्द से जल्द इस दिशा में कदम उठाए ताकि छात्रों को उनकी मातृभाषा में परीक्षा देने का अवसर मिले और शिक्षा प्रणाली अधिक समावेशी बन सके।

‘Conduct CUET-PG exams in vernacular languages’

The National Testing Agency (NTA) must take immediate steps to conduct the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET-PG) in vernacular languages, rather than limiting it to the present bilingual format of English and Hindi, All India OBC Students Association demanded on Monday.

Appealing to the State government, political parities and civil society organisations, they said that conducting exams in major vernacular languages, as recognised under the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, will promote linguistic diversity and align with the inclusive principles.

According to the Association, it is crucial to ensure equitable access to higher education, particularly for students from rural areas and non-Hindi-speaking regions. The current policy in CUET-PG creates an uneven playing field, making it difficult for these students to compete on equal terms, they said.

“The exclusion of regional languages from CUET-PG contradicts the government’s vision of accessible and equitable education. To uphold the spirit of social justice and ensure that language is not a barrier to higher education, we urge NTA to introduce vernacular language options from the upcoming examination cycle,” they noted.
