The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Group D Recruitment 2025. Originally set to close on February 22, 2025, candidates now have until March 1, 2025, to apply for the 32,438 available Level 1 posts.Those who are eligible can submit the forms to the official website 



Salary and Benefits for RRB Group D Employees

Employees in RRB Group D positions receive a salary based on the 7th Pay Commission, with an annual package ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. The base monthly salary starts at ₹18,000, but the total earnings, including allowances, typically range from ₹22,500 to ₹25,380, depending on the posting location. In addition to their basic salary, employees are provided with various benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and others.


 Other benefits include Night Duty Allowance, Overtime Allowance (OTA), and Travel Allowance for longer distances. Additional financial stability is offered through Holiday Compensation, Special Allowances for specific roles, Child Care Allowance, Medical Benefits, and a Pension Scheme.


RRB Group D Selection Process

The selection process for the 2025 recruitment consists of several stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): This 90-minute test is worth 100 marks and covers General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear the CBT move on to the PET, where only three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted.

• Document Verification and Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the PET undergo document verification and a medical fitness exam. Those who clear all stages receive their official appointment letters.
