The University of Allahabad, often referred to as the "Oxford of the East," is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in India. About the Event
The Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, is hosting its National Moot Court Competition on 8th and 9th March 2025.
The moot proposition for this year focuses on Criminal Law and Human Rights, addressing critical contemporary issues that test our legal and moral perspectives. This competition offers aspiring law students a remarkable opportunity to exhibit their legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and teamwork abilities.
Eligibility
Participants must be undergraduate law students enrolled in:
A 5-year integrated law program (after Class 12), or
A 3-year law program (after graduation).
The institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Location
Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj (Offline).
Registration Procedure
Interested teams must confirm their participation by completing the Pre-Memorial Registration Form.
Important Dates
Release of Moot Problem & Commencement of Registration: 5th January 2025
Last Date for Pre-Memorial Registration & Seeking Clarifications: 26th January 2025
Release of Clarifications: 31st January 2025
Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy): 7th February 2025
Release of List of Teams Qualifying Memorial Evaluation Round: 21st February 2025
Last Date for Final Registration and Payment of Registration Fee: 28th February 2025
Event Schedule:
8th March 2025: Registration, Draw of Lots, Researcher Test, Preliminary Rounds, and Quarterfinal Rounds
9th March 2025: Semifinal Rounds, Final Round, and Valedictory Ceremony
Fee Details
No fee is required for Pre-Memorial Registration.
Teams qualifying the Memorial Evaluation Round must complete their Final Registration by paying a fee of Rs. 3500/- per team.
Teams requiring accommodation will incur an additional charge of Rs. 1500/-.
