इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय: कॅरियर के लिए सांख्यिकी, गणित की पढ़ाई जरूरी

इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के सांख्यिकी विभाग में शुक्रवार को सेमिनार हुआ। विशेषज्ञों ने विद्यार्थियों और शोधार्थियों को एक्चुअरियल साइंस के क्षेत्र में नई संभावनाओं को समझने और इस कॅरियर विकल्प पर विचार करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। 

मुख्य अतिथि कॉलेज आफ साउदर्न नेवादा अमेरिका के प्रो. आलोक पांडेय ने कहा कि कॅरियर बनाने के लिए सांख्यिकी, गणित, अर्थशास्त्र या संबंधित विषयों की पढ़ाई आवश्यक होती है। इसके अतिरिक्त, उद्योग में अनुभव प्राप्त करने के लिए इंटर्नशिप और प्रोजेक्ट वर्क भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। 

विशेषज्ञों ने बताया कि पहले एक्चुअरियल की मांग मुख्य रूप से बीमा कंपनियों तक सीमित थी, लेकिन अब डेटा साइंस, क्लाइमेट रिस्क असेसमेंट, वित्तीय मॉडलिंग और एआई के बढ़ते प्रभाव के कारण इस क्षेत्र में रोजगार के नए अवसर खुल रहे हैं। इस दौरान डॉ. पीएस पुंडीर, डॉ. प्रशांत वर्मा आदि मौजूद रहे। 

Seminar on Actuarial Science at Allahabad University Highlights New Career Opportunities

A seminar was organized on Friday by the Department of Statistics, Allahabad University, focusing on emerging career opportunities in Actuarial Science. The event aimed to inspire students and researchers to explore this promising field.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Alok Pandey from the College of Southern Nevada, USA, emphasized the importance of studying subjects like statistics, mathematics, economics, or related fields to build a career in Actuarial Science. He also highlighted the significance of internships and project work in gaining industry experience.

Experts shared that while Actuarial Science was traditionally limited to insurance companies, the growing influence of data science, climate risk assessment, financial modeling, and artificial intelligence has expanded employment prospects in the field.

The seminar was attended by esteemed faculty members, including Dr. P.S. Pundeer and Dr. Prashant Verma, who contributed to the discussions and motivated students to consider this dynamic career option.
