NEET UG 2025: NTA Announced Single Day Shift Exam, Notification Released on Next Week

The decision on whether NEET UG 2025 will be held online or on paper will be made next week. The NTA is also expected to start NEET UG registrations soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the exam notification. Following previous issues like paper leaks, a panel has suggested reforms, including conducting the exam in multiple sessions and using digital methods to improve security and management.

NTA NEET 2025: Exam Format Decision to Be Announced Soon

The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced that the final decision on whether NEET UG 2025 will be conducted online or in pen-and-paper mode will be made next week. This announcement came during the launch of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 3.0 portal.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET UG 2025 notification soon on its new official website. Additionally, the use of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID) and Aadhaar verification will be mandatory for the exam.

Last year, more than 23 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET UG exam, which faced allegations of irregularities, including paper leaks.

Despite these challenges, the NTA has been tasked with conducting the exam again this year.

Proposed Changes for NEET UG 2025

Following paper leak controversies in 2022, a high-level committee led by former ISRO chairperson K. Radhakrishnan was formed to recommend improvements.

The committee suggested conducting the NEET UG exam in multiple sessions and introducing a computer-assisted and pen-and-paper test.

The proposed method involves securely sharing the NEET question paper digitally with exam centers, where it will be printed and distributed to students.

This approach aims to prevent paper leaks and ensure the integrity of the exam.
