महाकुंभ 2025 के अवसर पर प्रयागराज आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं और पर्यटकों के लिए भारत के चौथे प्राचीन विश्वविद्यालय, इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के सीनेट परिसर और विजयनगरम् परिसर को 14 और 15 जनवरी को भ्रमण के लिए खोला गया है।
परिसरों का भ्रमण समय
जनसंपर्क अधिकारी प्रोफेसर जया कपूर ने जानकारी दी कि श्रद्धालु और पर्यटक दोपहर 2 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक इन परिसरों का भ्रमण कर सकते हैं।
सीनेट हॉल का ऐतिहासिक महत्व Historical Significance of Senate Hall
1910 में निर्माण शुरू हुए सीनेट हॉल को 1915 में पूरा किया गया। इसके निर्माण पर 1,167,275 रुपये खर्च हुए थे। सर स्विंटन जैकब द्वारा राजपूत और मुगल शैली में डिज़ाइन की गई इस इमारत की आधारशिला चांसलर सर जॉन हीवेट ने रखी थी। इसमें लगी घड़ी लंदन की बिग बेन से प्रेरित है और इसे प्रयागराज में ही तैयार किया गया था।
विजयनगरम् हॉल की अद्वितीयता Uniqueness of Vijayanagaram Hall
विज्ञान संकाय में स्थित विजयनगरम् हॉल का निर्माण 8 अप्रैल 1886 को पूरा हुआ। आर्किटेक्ट विलियम इमरसन ने इसे उत्तर भारत की सबसे अनोखी इमारतों में से एक बताया। इसके गुंबद और मीनारें इसे ताजमहल के बाद दूसरी सबसे सुंदर इमारत बनाती हैं।
