Allahabad University, one of the prestigious central universities in India, has announced a vacancy for the position of Project Fellow. This position is under a Ministry of Education-funded project titled “Editing and Publishing of Manuscript Project – Preparing an Edition of Bhagavadgītārahasyaprakāśa by Jagadīśa Tarkālankāra”, implemented by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.

The vacancy is in the Department of Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, and Oriental Languages at Allahabad University. Key details about the position are as follows.

Number of Positions: 1

Period of Engagement: 12 months (contractual basis)

Fixed Remuneration: ₹16,000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to join Allahabad University for this opportunity must meet the following qualifications:

A Master’s Degree in Sanskrit Studies (MA/Acharya) with proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in Sanskrit.

Knowledge of reading Bengali manuscripts (desirable).

Basic computational skills (desirable).
