UGC NET December 2024 Application Deadline Extended Till Today, Check Revised Schedule
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the online application deadline for the UGC NET December 2024 session till today, December 11 Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to apply may complete their registration at the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The last date to pay the examination fee is tomorrow, December 12.

Candidates can make Corrections in the details submitted by them in their Application Forms Online through the Correction window at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in during the period when the correction/editing window is made live.
The UGC NET application correction window will now remain open from December 13 to 14, 2024. It was earlier slated to be conducted on December 11 and 12. The exam is set to be held from January 1 to 19, 2025.
Steps To Apply For UGC NET December 2024:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC NET 2024- ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “UGC-NET December-2024: Click Here to Register/Login"
Step 3: On the newly opened page, click on the link for new registration
Step 4: Now enter the required details to complete the registration process
Step 5: Log in with the system-generated registration ID and password
Step 6: Fill out the NET 2024 December application form and pay the application fee
Step 7: Submit the application form and save it for future reference
UGC NET December 2024: Application Fee
To apply for the UGC NET 2024 December session, candidates from the general category must pay Rs 1150, and general-EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates must pay Rs 600. The UGC NET 2024 application fee for SC, ST, PwD, and third-gender candidates is Rs 325.
The UGC NET is held for three hours. Candidates are required to answer a total of 150 multiple-choice and objective-type questions on both papers. There are usually 50 questions in NET Paper 1, each of 100 marks. This component assesses the candidates’ understanding of general awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching. Paper 2 will evaluate domain knowledge with 100 questions for 200 marks, based on the candidate’s chosen subject.
