CUET Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates who want to be eligible for CUET UG 2025 exam must meet specific requirements set by the NTA. Check below for the criteria.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognized board. Students appearing for their Class 12 exams in 2025 can also apply.
- Minimum Marks: General category candidates need at least 50% marks in their Class 12 examination. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates require a minimum of 45% marks.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates applying for CUET UG 2025. However, candidates must meet any age criteria set by the specific university or institution they wish to apply to.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens. Additionally, citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, as well as Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962, are also eligible.
- University-Specific Criteria: Some universities may have additional eligibility requirements regarding subject combinations and minimum marks for specific courses. Candidates should check the criteria of their chosen universities before applying.
How to Fill CUET Application Form 2025?
NTA is expected to release CUET UG Application Form 2025 in the first or second week of February 2025. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form by following the below steps.
- Visit the official CUET 2025 website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG and click on ‘New Candidate Registration.’ Fill in your details, create a password, and submit the form to receive your login credentials via email.
- Log in with your registered email and password. Enter your personal information, including name, date of birth, gender, and address.
- Provide information about your Class 10 and Class 12 exams, including board names, years of passing, and marks obtained.
- Select your preferred test city from the available options.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any required certificates.
- Pay the application fee online using debit/credit cards or net banking.
- Review all entries for accuracy and apply. You will receive an application number and confirmation email after submission.
