CUET Exam Pattern 2025: UGC has revised CUET Exam Pattern 2025. UGC has made changes in the exam duration, mode of examination, and number of subjects. CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted as a computer-based mode exam. CUET UG will have three sections i.e., Section I, Section II, and Section III. Section I has 13 languages, Section II includes 23 domain subjects and Section III is General Aptitude Test. Interested candidates will be allowed to choose five subjects which has been reduced from six in the previous year. The question paper will include multiple choice questions (MCQs). For every correct answer, candidates will be rewarded with 5 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. NTA is expected to conduct CUET UG 2025 exam in the second week of May to the last week of May 2025.

UGC has made several changes in CUET Exam Pattern 2025 as mentioned below.

  • Reduction in Subjects: The total number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37. This includes 13 languages, 23 domain subjects, and a general test.
  • Domain Subject Options: Candidates can now choose only 5 domain subjects, down from the previous limit of 6.
  • Exam Duration: Each subject paper will have a standardized duration of 1 hour (60 minutes).
  • Online Examination Format: The CUET will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Flexibility in Subject Selection: Students can opt for any CUET subject regardless of the subjects they studied in Class 12.
  • General Test Inclusion: The exam will include a general test section, which assesses general aptitude.
