CUET UG 2025 Other Changes

Candidates who are willing to appear in CUET UG 2025 exam can check the other changes made to CUET UG 2025 exam below.

  • Maximum Subjects Allowed : In addition to reducing the total number of subjects, candidates will now be allowed to select a maximum of five subjects instead of six. This change is intended to help students focus on their chosen areas of study without feeling overwhelmed by too many options.
  • Flexibility in Subject Selection :  A significant aspect of these changes is the increased flexibility in subject selection. Students can now choose subjects that they may not have studied in their Class 12 curriculum. This move encourages interdisciplinary learning and allows students to explore diverse academic fields without being restricted by their previous education.
  • Standardized Exam Format : The CUET 2025 will be conducted exclusively as a computer-based test (CBT), marking a shift from the hybrid model used previously. This transition aims to improve reliability and security during the examination process. Additionally, all exams will now have a uniform duration of 60 minutes, eliminating variations that existed based on different subjects.
  • Compulsory Questions : All questions in the CUET exam will now be compulsory, as the option for optional questions has been removed. Candidates will need to answer all questions presented in their selected subjects, ensuring that they demonstrate comprehensive knowledge across all areas.
  • Admissions Based on General Aptitude Test (GAT) : For the subjects that have been discontinued, admissions will now rely on scores from the General Aptitude Test (GAT). This approach aims to create a more standardized assessment method for candidates applying to various undergraduate programs.
