Classes Suspended at University of Allahabad for Convocation 2024
Prayagraj, November 22, 2024 – The University of Allahabad has issued an official notification regarding the suspension of classes in view of the upcoming Convocation - 2024, scheduled to be held on November 27, 2024. The decision, approved by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, is aimed at facilitating smooth arrangements for the event.
Schedule of Class Suspension
The suspension of classes will be observed as follows:
November 26, 2024: Classes in the Faculty of Arts will remain suspended.
November 27, 2024: Classes in all faculties, including Arts, Science, Law, and Commerce, will remain suspended.
The notification clarified that despite the suspension of classes, the offices of all departments and centers will remain operational on these dates.
The Registrar of the University, in the official circular, directed the necessary action to:
1. All Deans of the respective faculties.
2. Heads, Directors, and Coordinators of departments and institutes.
3. Other administrative officials including the Controller of Examinations, Finance Officer, Proctor, and Librarian.
4. University engineers, public relations officers, and ICT staff.
Additionally, the notification requested the ICT Cell to upload the notice on the university's official website for broader dissemination.
Convocation Preparations in Full Swing
The university's administrative offices are gearing up for the Convocation 2024, a significant annual event. The suspension of classes is intended to ensure that faculty and staff can dedicate themselves fully to the event's preparation and management.
