University of Allahabad Constitutes Core Committee for Convocation 2024

The University of Allahabad has issued a notification constituting a Core Committee to ensure the smooth conduct of its upcoming Convocation 2024. The committee, formed under the directive of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, includes distinguished members of the university’s academic and administrative leadership.
Committee Composition
The committee is chaired by Prof. Ajay Jaitly, Head of the Department of Visual Arts. Other key members include:
1. Prof. Harsh Kumar, Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW)
2. Prof. Ashish Khare, Registrar
3. Dr. Himanshu Srivastava, Finance Officer
4. Prof. Rakesh Singh, Proctor
5. Prof. Jaya Kapoor, Public Relations Officer (PRO)
6. Dr. Avinash Kumar Srivastava, Coordinator, (IGTPS)
7. Shri N. K. Singh, University Engineer
8. Prof. N. K. Shukla, Department of Electronics and Communication, who will act as the Coordinator for the committee.

Objective
The Core Committee is tasked with planning, organizing, and overseeing all arrangements for the successful execution of Convocation 2024. The event will serve as a pivotal moment for the university, honoring graduates and fostering academic pride.
Instructions and Notifications
The notification further directed that copies of the information be circulated among:
All concerned committee members.
Other committees associated with the convocation.
Deans of various faculties, including Arts, Law, Commerce, and Science.
Heads, directors, and coordinators of all university departments and institutes.
Administrative staff, including joint, deputy, and assistant registrar's.
Additional copies were sent to the Public Relations Officer, Law Officer, and the ICT Cell with instructions to upload the notification on the university's official website for public access. A special note was also made for the SVC to inform the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor.
