Oath of the Preamble of the Constitution was administered on Constitution Day
On the completion of 75 years of the Indian Constitution, Legal Aid Clinic, Faculty of Law, CMP Degree College, Prayagraj celebrated Constitution Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. On this occasion, various competitions and academic activities were organized by the Legal Aid and Service Clinic, Faculty of Law, CMP Degree College, in which the students actively participated. The program started with the inspirational address of Dr. R.D. Kishore, Convener of Legal Aid and Service Clinic. He highlighted the historical background of Constitution Day and the features of the Indian Constitution. He said that the Indian Constitution is not only the cornerstone of our democracy, but it is also a symbol of unity in diversity. Addressing the students, he urged them to understand their responsibilities towards the Constitution and follow its values.
Dr. Sushil Sinha, President of Kayastha Pathshala, in his address, emphasized on the current status and need and it's importance of the Constitution.
Professor Shiv Shankar Singh, Convenr of Law Department, CMP Degree College, explained the concept of justice given in the Constitution and taught the students to follow the values of the Constitution.
A debate competition was organized in the program, the theme of which was “75 Years of the Indian Constitution: Successes and Challenges”. Students participated enthusiastically in this competition and presented their views on various aspects of the Constitution. Their views not only highlighted the depth of the Constitution, but also highlighted its challenges. The winner of the debate competition was Pranshu Shukla. After this, Rangoli competition and poster making competition were organized. The winner of Rangoli competition was Gargi Shukla and team and the winner of poster making competition was Arti singh. In the Rangoli competition, the students depicted the Constitution and national unity with creativity through colors. At the same time, in the poster making competition, the students presented the ideas related to the Constitution in an artistic manner, which clearly reflected their creativity and constitutional understanding. Members of organising committees of these Competition were Vishal, Aman, Siddharth, Ritu Pande, Sudhanshu.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Vishnu Pandey ji, Advocate Allahabad High Court while motivating the students, said that the Constitution is not just a collection of laws, but it is a document that provides the right direction to our lives. He gave the message to the students to understand the importance of the Constitution and follow it. On this occasion, Prof. Ajay Pratap Singh highlighted the importance of the Preamble of the Constitution. Dr. Gaurav Patel discussed the challenges of the Constitution. Dr. Haridarshan Tripathi highlighted the formation of judiciary and its power in the Constitution. All the students of the Law Faculty members, and other dignitaries of the college were present in large numbers in this event. At the end of the program, all the participants were awarded certificates for their contribution and excellent performance. All the students were administered the oath of the Preamble of the Constitution.
