Law College Dehradun 9th Inter-University Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law : Register by 27th December

Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University, a leading institution in legal education since 2002, invites you to participate in the 9th Law College Dehradun Inter-University Moot Court Competition. This prestigious event provides a platform for law students to showcase their advocacy skills, knowledge, and critical thinking. The competition promises to be an enriching experience, fostering intellectual discourse and exchange among participants.

ABOUT COMPETITION

Our country’s Constitution is the highest law. Law College Dehradun’s Inter-University Moot Court Competition is a yearly inter-university event based on Constitutional Law. This competition is highly respected in India’s law circles.

It is administered by the Moot Court Society of the college. Other than contributing to the field of Constitutional Law, this Competition serves as a channel through which young law students can showcase and hone their advocacy skills. The first edition of the Competition was won by NUJS, Kolkata; the second by National Law University, Jodhpur; the third edition was won by Hidayatullah National Law University; the fourth edition by Chanakya National Law University, Patna; the fifth edition by the Christ Deemed to be University, Bangalore; the sixth edition by the Lloyd School of Law, Greater Noida; seventh edition by Army Law Institute Mohali, Punjab and the eighth edition by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law. This year, once again, we welcome participation from the best law schools/colleges/universities of the country, with the expectation to chisel out the proficient lawyers and judges of the future.

Event Overview

The Moot Court Society of Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University, is excited to announce the 9th edition of its prestigious Inter-University Moot Court Competition. This annual event will take place from February 21st to 23rd, 2025, providing a unique platform for law students to showcase their skills in Constitutional Law. The competition is open to law students from universities across the country.

Competition Details

The competition will see participating teams engage in rigorous legal arguments and debates on various aspects of Constitutional Law. The event is designed to challenge and enhance participants' legal research, writing, and advocacy skills in a simulated courtroom setting.

Awards and Internship Opportunities

The competition offers several awards to recognize exceptional performances across various categories:

Winning Team: INR 36,000, trophies, a 1-year SCC Online subscription, and internships at Saikrishna and Associates.

Runners-Up: INR 25,000, trophies, and 1-month SCC Online access.

Best Memorial: INR 9,000, trophy, and 1-month SCC Online access.

Best Counsel (Male & Female): INR 5,000 each, trophy, and 1-month SCC Online access.

Best Researcher: INR 5,000, trophy, and 1-month SCC Online access.

All Participating Teams: Certificates and 1-month SCC Online access.

Accommodation and Food: All selected teams will be provided with accommodation and food during the competition.

These rewards aim to recognize the hard work, research, and advocacy skills of the participating teams, while also offering valuable professional opportunities.
