The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the commencement of its admission process for PhD programs for the academic session 2024. Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official website until November 20, 2024. The application fee for each candidate is set at INR 1,000.
Admission Criteria Based on UGC NET and Interview
This year, IGNOU’s PhD admissions will be based on a combined evaluation of the candidate’s performance in the UGC NET exam and an interview. Candidates will be selected through a merit list prepared with a 70% weightage on UGC NET scores and 30% on interview scores. Those shortlisted on the basis of their UGC NET scores will be invited for the interview round.
