Aspiring to build a career in yoga? Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University offers specialized courses that could be a stepping stone toward a promising career in yoga. JMI’s one-year certificate course in Yoga Studies, conducted on a regular basis, requires students to attend classes on campus, ensuring a hands-on, immersive experience in yoga education.

Entrance Exams Conducted for Yoga Studies Certificate

JMI recently conducted an entrance examination on Sunday, November 3, for the certificate course in Yoga Studies. This exam witnessed participation from 29 out of the 36 applicants, showcasing keen interest among students in pursuing formal education in yoga.

Admissions for B.Ed (Distance Mode) and M.Tech Programs

In addition to the Yoga Studies certificate course, JMI held entrance examinations for other programs, including the B.Ed (Distance Mode) and M.Tech programs. For the B.Ed program, a total of 1,211 applications were received, with 1,046 candidates attending the entrance test. For the M.Tech program, 46 out of 54 applicants appeared for the exam, reflecting significant demand in technical education as well.

The entrance exams were supervised by JMI’s new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mazhar Asif, and Acting Registrar, Professor Mohammad Mehtab Alam Rizvi, who visited the examination centers, underscoring the university's commitment to educational excellence across disciplines.
