University of Hyderabad Opens Applications for Ph.D. Admissions 2024

Application Deadline Set for November 11, 2024

The University of Hyderabad has announced the commencement of the application process for its Ph.D. admissions for the 2024 academic session. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online starting from October 21, 2024, until the deadline on November 11, 2024. Admissions will be based on the candidates’ performance in the CSIR-UGC-NET 2024 scores. Applications without valid scores from the CSIR-UGC-NET 2024 will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria:

   – Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate (or as specified by the department).

   – Candidates with national-level qualifications like UGC-NET/JRF, GATE, or equivalent will be given preference.

Application Fees and Requirements

The application fee structure is as follows:

General Category: Rs. 600

EWS: Rs. 550

OBC-NCL: Rs. 400

SC/ST/PWD/PH: Rs. 275

Applicants are required to keep scanned copies of essential documents, including photograph, signature, educational certificates, and relevant category certificates (if applicable), ready for the application process. It’s essential to note that the application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

Selection Process:

   – Shortlisted candidates will be called for an entrance exam and/or interview conducted by the respective departments.

   – The final selection will be based on merit, research proposal, and performance in the interview.

Instructions for Fee Payment

Candidates must pay the fee online through the university’s payment gateway. Upon payment, the applicant will receive a unique Form Number and Payment Transaction Number, which must be retained for future reference. Modifications to the application cannot be made after submission.
