NRI Quota Seats Increased in Allahabad University Admissions

 

Prayagraj – In response to the high volume of applications and growing demand for admissions, the Executive Council of Allahabad University has approved the allocation of five additional seats under the NRI quota for each course. These seats, currently available under the supernumerary quota, will be merged with the total approved seats starting next academic session. However, this seat increase will not apply to research programs.

If a course receives more than five applications under the NRI quota, selection will be based on merit, following the rules set by the admission committee.

 

Additionally, the university has approved the formation of a three-member committee to address issues related to the seniority list of faculty members. The committee will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor and will include the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Bechan Sharma, and Dean of Research and Development and Director of IIDA, Prof. S.I. Rizvi.

 

 इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में आवेदनों की अधिक संख्या और प्रवेश की मांग को देखते हुए कार्य परिषद ने सहमति प्रदान की है कि प्रत्येक पाठ्यक्रम में एनआरआई कोटे के तहत पांच सीटों पर प्रवेश दिया जाएगा। इन सीटों पर प्रवेश वर्तमान सत्र में सुपरन्यूमेरी कोटे के तहत होता है। अगले सत्र से कुल स्वीकृत सीटों में विलय कर दिया जाएगा। हालांकि यह सीट वृद्धि शोध पाठ्यक्रमों पर लागू नहीं होगा। यदि पाठ्यक्रम के लिए पांच से अधिक आवेदन हैं, तो चयन प्रवेश समिति की ओर से निर्धारित नियमों के तहत योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाएगा। वहीं दूसरी ओर शिक्षकों की वरिष्ठता सूची से जुड़े मामलों को देखने के लिए कुलपति की अध्यक्षता में विज्ञान संकाय के डीन प्रो. बेचन शर्मा और डीन-रिसर्च एंड डेपलपमेंट व निदेशक आईआईडीए प्रो. एसआई रिजवी के साथ एक तीन सदस्यीय समिति गठित करने को मंजूरी दी है।
