KP Training College Prepares to Launch New Courses; Focus on UG, PG, and Certification Programs

 KP Training College to Launch Undergraduate, Integrated Courses in Line with NEP 2020

Plans to Introduce B.Com, B.Sc, B.Ed-M.Ed Integrated Programs; Diploma and Certificate Courses Also in Pipeline

Prayagraj, October 30 – KP Training College, affiliated with the University of Allahabad, is set to expand its academic offerings beyond the traditional B.Ed program. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the college is preparing to launch several undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programs in the coming academic sessions.

Currently, KP Training College offers only a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course, and it stands as the sole B.Ed college under the University of Allahabad. However, starting this academic session, the college has taken a step towards diversification by admitting students for 10 seats in the B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) stream with B.Ed integration.

Introduction of Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Course

The college is also preparing to introduce a three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed program. A detailed proposal has been submitted, with plans to admit 50 students in the first batch. The course structure has been designed in accordance with NEP 2020 guidelines, aiming to provide advanced teacher training at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.

In line with the NEP’s emphasis on multidisciplinary education, students who complete a four-year undergraduate degree will now be eligible for a one-year B.Ed course instead of the traditional two-year program.

New Undergraduate Courses: B.Com and B.Sc

KP Training College plans to launch undergraduate courses in both B.Com and B.Sc, with 50 seats each, to cater to the growing demand for diverse academic disciplines. These programs are expected to start from the upcoming academic session, providing students with broader educational opportunities.

Diploma, Certificate, and PG Programme 

Principal Prof. Anjana Srivastava revealed that the college is also working on launching diploma and certificate courses across various disciplines, including a certificate program in Yoga, which has already commenced. Additionally, some new postgraduate programs are under consideration to enhance the academic profile of the institution.

“Our aim is to align with the NEP 2020 and provide students with a range of academic choices, from certificate courses to integrated postgraduate programs,” Prof. Srivastava said.

The introduction of these new programs reflects KP Training College’s commitment to expanding its academic portfolio and equipping students with multidisciplinary skills and knowledge in accordance with the changing educational landscape.
