Geography Department of Allahabad University Conducts Outreach Awareness Program in Rural Area

Students promote water and environmental conservation in Chaubara village

On Friday, the Department of Geography at Allahabad University organized an outreach activity in Chaubara Gram Panchayat, located in Soraon Tehsil. Led by the Head of the Department, Prof. Ashwajeet Chaudhary, students set out on a mission to raise awareness among villagers about the importance of water and environmental conservation.

The students educated the locals about cleaning and maintaining natural water sources like ponds, emphasizing the need for proper water storage practices. They also planted saplings to spread the message of environmental sustainability.

Prominent figures attending the event included Prof. Anupam Pandey, Prof. A.R. Siddiqui, Dr. Pawan Sharma, Dr. Kiran Kumari, Dr. Desh Deepak Singh, and Dr. Nitin Mishra.

 

ग्रामीणों को जल और पर्यावरण संरक्षक का दिया संदेश

इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के भूगोल विभाग की ओर से शुक्रवार को सोरांव तहसील के चौबारा ग्राम पंचायत में आउटरीज गतिविधि के तहत जागरूकता अभियान चलाया गया। विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. अश्वजीत चौधरी विद्यार्थियों को रवाना किया। विद्यार्थियों ने ग्रामीणों को जल और पर्यावरण संरक्षक का संदेश दिया। 

ग्रामीणों को स्थानीय जल संग्रह के स्रोत जैसे तालाब की सफाई और उचित रख-रखाव के लिए जागरूक किया। विद्यार्थियों ने पौधे लगाकर पर्यावरण जागरूकता का संदेश दिया। इस अवसर पर प्रो. अनुपम पांडेय, प्रो. एआर सिद्दीकी, डॉ. पवन शर्मा, डॉ. किरण कुमारी, डॉ. देश दीपक सिंह, डॉ. नितिन मिश्र आदि मौजूद रहे।
