DIAC has played a crucial role in promoting arbitration as an effective tool for dispute resolution, providing robust infrastructure, established rules and procedures, and exceptional administrative support.

The centre is supervised by an Arbitration Committee, while day-to-day operations are managed by the Coordinator and Additional Coordinators, ensuring seamless administration and effective functioning.

 Career Opportunity: Deputy Counsel


DIAC is currently inviting online applications from Indian nationals who meet the essential qualifications and other eligibility criteria for five anticipated vacancies for the position of Deputy Counsel. These roles are purely contractual and based at the DIAC located in S-Block, High Court of Delhi.

 Number of Vacancies


There are a total of five positions available.


 Code of Conduct


Candidates selected as Deputy Counsel will be expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics throughout their tenure. Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining complete devotion to duty and integrity.

- Ensuring confidentiality regarding any sensitive information encountered during their engagement.

- Complying with the dress code as stipulated in Chapter IV of Part VI of the Bar Council of India Rules.

- Adhering to the rules and regulations of DIAC.

Importantly, Deputy Counsel will not be permitted to accept any other assignments or practice as an advocate in any court or tribunal during their engagement.

 Eligibility Criteria


To qualify for the role, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

- Must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961 with any State Bar Council.

- Must possess a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as of September 1, 2024.

- A Diploma or Postgraduate degree (LL.M) in Arbitration Law, Commercial Law, or Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is required.

- Candidates should have a total of five years of experience at the bar.

- Strong research and analytical skills, writing abilities, and proficiency in legal research tools such as Manupatra, SCC Online, Westlaw, etc.

- Applicants must be no older than 30 years as of September 1, 2024.

 Remuneration


Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹1,00,000 (One Lakh Rupees only).
