BHU UG Admission 2024: Mop-up round schedule out; choice filling begins from October 4



BHU UG Admissions 2024: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced a mop-round of seat allotment for admissions to its undergraduate programmes. Candidates will not be able to withdraw or cancel their seats after 11.59 pm today, October 1, to calculate the final vacancy for the mop-up round. The vacant seats will be published on October 3.

According to the official schedule, candidates will be able to edit their preferences from October 4 to 6. The seat allotment result will be out on October 7 at 5 pm on the student portal. The fee payment deadline is October 8 till 11.59 pm. The seat allotment result for round 2 will be out on October 9. 

“Mop-up round shall be applicable for all UG courses including practical test-based courses provided that the candidate has appeared in the respective practical test and has qualified,” the official notice reads.

Who Can Apply for BHU UG Mop-up Round of Counselling?

Candidates who have cancelled or withdrawn their allotted seats can apply. Moreover, the candidates who defaulted or did not pay the fee after the seat allotment are also eligible. Waitlisted candidates in regular and spot rounds are also eligible. 

The allotment shall be based on merit, preference choices and reservation policy. The merit of Mop-Up round allotment will be independent of the merit of regular round and spot round allotment and therefore will be incomparable.

How to Download BHU Seat Allotment 2024 Results

Candidates can follow these steps to view and download their BHU seat allotment results for 2024:

1. Visit the BHU admission portal at bhu.ac.in or bhucuet.samarth.edu.in.

2. Click on the ‘BHU UG round 2 seat allotment 2024-25’ link.

3. Enter your application number and password in the designated fields.

4. On the dashboard, find the BHU seat allotment results link.

5. The allotment status will be displayed on the screen.

6. Download and save the allotment results for future reference.

BHU UG Counselling 2024: What's Next?

Accept the Allotment: If you're satisfied with the allotted seat, accept the seat online before the specified deadline.

Pay the Admission Fee: After accepting the seat, you need to pay the required admission fee to confirm your seat before deadline.

Document Verification: Present the necessary documents for verification including your allotment letter, original certificates, and other required documents.

Report to the University: Depending on the instructions, either visit the university in person or complete the reporting process online.

Further Instructions: After completing these steps, wait for any additional instructions from BHU, such as orientation schedules or commencement of classes.

In case the candidate is not satisfied with the allotment, you can choose to participate in further rounds, if applicable.

Shortlisted candidates must produce the necessary documents during the reporting process for verification purposes. These documents include the CUET scorecard for 2024, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, caste certificates (for SC, ST, OBC candidates), transfer certificates, and sports certificates if applying under the sports quota, among others.
