AU Alumnus Ankit Wins Young Philosopher Award; Triumphs Over Scholars from 12 States

Ankit Dwivedee, an alumnus of Allahabad University, was honored with the Pandit Ramvilas Mishra Young Philosopher Award at the 20th Annual National Convention of the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Philosophy Council, organized at Awadhesh Prasad Singh University, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, and sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi. This prestigious award is presented annually for the best research paper. This year, the award was given to Ankit Dwivedee for his paper titled "The Role of Buddhism in Global Peace."
Ankit Dwivedee shared that research scholars from 12 states participated in this competition, but his name topped the list as per the evaluation committee's decision. In the context of "Developed India 2047," he emphasized the relevance of Buddhist philosophy, stating that Buddhism can aid in establishing positive relations not only with Southeast Asian countries but with the entire world. Ankit also expressed his gratitude to the Department of Philosophy at Allahabad University, particularly to esteemed Professor Rishikant Pandey and others, crediting them for sowing the seeds of philosophy in him. He mentioned that it was at Allahabad University that he first encountered the subject of philosophy after the 12th grade, which he studied for two years.
Notably, Ankit completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Allahabad University from the 2017-20 session and was a resident of the Hindu Hostel. Currently, he is pursuing research under the guidance of Dr. Mukesh Kumar Verma, Head of the Department of Buddhist Studies at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (Ministry of Culture). Additionally, Ankit has been a student at both Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
