Allahabad University Opens Admissions for NRI Ward/Sponsored Category for 2024-25

Special Quota Introduced for International Students Under Updated Guidelines

The University of Allahabad has officially announced the opening of admissions for the NRI Ward/Sponsored category for the academic session 2024-25. As part of the newly updated admission guidelines, this category falls under the "International Students Admission Rules & Procedures 2024," offering exclusive seats for the wards of NRIs and sponsored candidates. This initiative aims to provide international students with opportunities across various courses and programs at the University, with the exception of Ph.D. programs.

A total of five (5) supernumerary seats are allocated for NRI Ward/Sponsored category students in each course or program, which is applicable only for the 2024-25 session. Candidates under this category must pay the same fees as foreign nationals under the self-finance category, and admissions will be granted strictly based on merit. No processing fee is required for application submissions, and detailed information, including application forms, is available on the University’s official website.

Application Process and Deadline

Applicants must ensure that their parents or sponsors hold valid NRI/OCI status at the time of admission and are required to submit a Sponsorship Form along with a declaration by the sponsor. Completed applications and supporting documents should be submitted via email to the Office of International Students Advisor at internationalstudentsoffice@allduniv.ac.in by 23rd October 2024, no later than 11:59 PM IST.
