Academic Session at Allahabad University Still Affected by CUET

Prayagraj: The undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2024-25 academic session at Allahabad University has been delayed by almost three months. This delay poses a significant challenge to completing the curriculum on time. According to the academic calendar issued by the university administration, the first-year UG exams are scheduled to begin on April 1, 2025. Currently, the admission process for UG courses is ongoing in both the campus and affiliated colleges until October 6, with no official announcement regarding the final admission deadline.

Students and Faculty Face Tough Task of Completing UG Syllabus in Limited Time at Allahabad University

Despite this, classes for new admissions began on September 30. As a result, the curriculum must be completed between October and March, giving students roughly six months (around 180 days) to finish the course. However, the university follows a five-day academic schedule, with Saturdays and Sundays as holidays. Approximately 30 days in this six-month period will be lost to weekend breaks, in addition to major holidays like Dussehra, Diwali, and the winter break.

Effectively, students will have only about four months for actual academic work. Completing the syllabus in such a short period will be challenging for both students and teachers. The academic schedule at Allahabad University has been off track since 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), from which it has yet to recover.

तीन माह का सत्र विलंब, कोर्स पूरा करना चुनौती

 1. इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के शैक्षिक सत्र 2024-25 में स्नातक (यूजी) की दाखिला प्रक्रिया लगभग तीन महीने देरी से चल रही है।

2. पाठ्यक्रम को तय समय पर पूरा करना चुनौतीपूर्ण होगा।

3. एकेडमिक कैलेंडर के अनुसार, यूजी प्रथम वर्ष की परीक्षाएं 1 अप्रैल 2025 से प्रस्तावित हैं।

4. 6 अक्टूबर तक कैंपस और संबद्ध कॉलेजों में स्नातक में दाखिला प्रक्रिया जारी रहेगी।

5. प्रवेश की अंतिम तिथि की अभी आधिकारिक घोषणा नहीं हुई है।

6. 30 सितंबर से नए छात्रों की कक्षाएं शुरू हो चुकी हैं।

7. अक्तूबर से मार्च के बीच कोर्स को पूरा करना होगा, जिससे छात्रों को लगभग 180 दिन (6 माह) का समय मिलेगा।

8. इविवि में पांच दिन का शैक्षणिक सप्ताह होता है, जिसमें शनिवार और रविवार को अवकाश होता है।

9. छह महीने में लगभग 30 दिन शनिवार और रविवार का अवकाश रहेगा, इसके अलावा दशहरा, दीपावली और शीतकालीन अवकाश भी होंगे।

10. छात्रों के पास पढ़ाई के लिए केवल चार महीने का समय बचेगा, जो शिक्षकों और छात्रों के लिए कोर्स पूरा करने में कठिनाई पैदा करेगा।

11. कोविड-19 महामारी और सीयूईटी के कारण इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय का शैक्षणिक सत्र 2021 से प्रभावित है और अब तक पटरी पर नहीं आया है।
