University of Allahabad Announces Vacancy for Junior Research Assistant (JRA) in Physics Department

The Department of Physics at the University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, has announced an opening for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) under a CST-UP funded project. The project, titled "Developing complex concentrated high-entropy alloys to enhance hydrogen storage and gas sensing properties," is supervised by Dr. Thakur Prasad Yadav, Associate Professor in the Department of Physics.

The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of ₹25,000 per month for the first two years, with an increase to ₹28,000 in the third year. The duration of the position is three years, co-terminus with the project. Applicants must hold a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics with first-division marks, and preference will be given to those with hands-on experience in Condensed Matter Physics, Material Science, and X-ray Spectroscopy.

Applicants must be residents of Uttar Pradesh, below the age of 28 years as of April 1, 2024. Applications, including self-attested copies of academic certificates and relevant experience, must be submitted via email to Dr. Thakur Prasad Yadav at tpyadav@allduniv.ac.in within 21 days of the advertisement's publication.

The position is purely temporary, with no provision for HRA or other allowances, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for further selection procedures.
