NSUI DUSU Candidates Spread Message of Love and Unity through "Mohabbat ki Dukan" Campaign

New Delhi, 24th September 2024: NSUI DUSU candidates today reached out to Delhi University students by distributing roses, spreading a message of love, peace, and harmony. This initiative, titled "Mohabbat ki Dukan," aims to counter the violence allegedly promoted by ABVP.

Namrata Jeph, the party’s Secretary candidate, reinforced the need for change on campus, particularly in addressing safety concerns for women. "Campus violence and unsafe conditions for women must end. Our campaign focuses on change, ensuring women's safety and advocating for 12 menstrual leaves per semester," Jeph stated, adding a significant dimension to NSUI’s vision for student welfare.

NSUI National President Varun Choudhary also joined the campaign, criticizing the rival Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for fostering violence on campus. "NSUI is committed to building a violence-free campus. ABVP has been involved in attacking students and faculty at DU. Our message is clear—NSUI-led DUSU will create a peaceful and equal space for all, especially women," Choudhary said.

In addition to distributing roses, the NSUI candidates carried copies of the Constitution of India, underscoring their belief in justice, equality, and freedom. The symbolic gesture highlighted their pledge to uphold democratic values and create a safe, inclusive environment for all students at Delhi University.

The campaign has garnered widespread support from students, who enthusiastically embraced NSUI’s message of peace. With plans to continue similar efforts, the "Mohabbat ki Dukan" campaign aims to bring about positive change and ensure a violence-free campus in the upcoming DUSU Elections.
