About Centre for Corporate Law and Dispute Resolution

Centre for Corporate Law and Dispute Resolution has been set up in 2024 under the School of Law, IILM University, Greater Noida. It aims to create knowledge, awareness and acquaintance about the subjects associated with corporate law among the professionals, scholars and students. It is a platform wherein the areas of corporate laws can be touched, discussed and modified.

It is a platform which provides an opportunity to the corporate entities, lawyers, teachers and scholars to discuss the inalienable and intense issues about the evolving and emerging jurisprudence of corporate laws in diversified industries and sectors such as securities market, competition law, banking laws, insurance laws etc. The Centre is organizing its One Day National Seminar on “Digital Competition Law: Need or Abundance”. It aims to critically explore the evolving landscape of competition law in the digital

economy. It seek this to address key questions around the necessity of specialized regulations versus existing frameworks.

 

Call for Papers

The Centre invite academicians, scholars, practitioners, and students to delve into the complexities of digital competition law at our upcoming seminar. This event aims to explore the ultimate implications of regulatory frameworks in the digital economy. Submissions should address theoretical, practical, or empirical aspects of digital competition, including but not limited to antitrust issues, market dynamics, and policy recommendations. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the future of competition law in the digital age.

About the Theme

The emergence of digital markets has prompted a critical re-evaluation of traditional competition laws. In an era where tech giants dominate the landscape, questions arise about the adequacy of existing regulations and whether new frameworks are necessary to address the unique challenges posed by the digital economy. Digital competition law seeks to tackle issues such as market monopolization, data privacy, consumer welfare, and the influence of algorithms on market dynamics—all within the context of rapidly evolving technology.

Sub-Themes: The seminar will delve into antitrust challenges posed by digital platforms, the role of data in market competition, and the effectiveness of current legal structures.
