This Version 2.0 is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of drafting various legal documents—contracts, petitions, pleadings, and legal opinions—while ensuring they are up to date with the latest developments in statutory law, incorporating some newly introduced legislations i.e.:

 

New Criminal Laws—replacing the IPC, CrPC, and IEA with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Sanhita (BSS), 2023.

The Mediation Act, 2023, marks a significant shift in how the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 functions, as the conciliation mechanism is now included under the ambit of Mediation. For law students, understanding this new Act is crucial to understand the significant changes in the evolving landscape of ADR in India.

The Patent (Amendment) Rules, 2024, which were passed to simplify the process of obtaining and managing patents in India. New rules have made significant changes in the laws and methods drafting and litigation is seen in the Patent filing.
