UGC NET June 2024 examination rescheduled: New date set for August 27

UGC NET 2024 Postponed: The National Testing Agency has postponed the UGC NET August 26 examination. In a notification, the agency said that due to Krishna Janmashtami on August 26, the exams that were to take place on the same date will now be conducted on August 27. The rest schedule of the UGC NET will remain the same till further notice.

On August 26, NTA had to conduct the following exams: philosophy, Hindi, Oriya, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese, and Santali, all seven language papers.

Meanwhile, the Agency released the UGC NET city slip for the examinations that are scheduled to be held on August 21 22, and 23 are available. Slips for other dates will be released soon, the official website stated.

UGC NET June 2024: How to check city intimation slip

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of UGC NET – ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the Advance Exam City Intimation link provided on the homepage

Step 3: Fill in your application number and date of birth along with the given captcha

Step 4: The candidate exam city intimation slip will be visible

Step 5: The candidates can view and save the city slip from there for future use.

Candidates are also advised to visit the NTA websites nta.ac.in and ugcnet.nta.ac.in for the latest updates. For any clarification related to UGC – NET June 2024, the candidates can also contact 011-40759000 or email ugcnet@nta.ac.in.

The UGC NET June 2024 will be conducted from August 21 to September 4. The test will be held in the computer-based test (CBT) format. 

Earlier, on June 18, the test was conducted but was cancelled amid the accusations of paper leak which was later found to be true. The test was held in two shifts and in pen and paper (offline) mode.

The test was conducted in 317 cities from all over India and over 9 lakhs of candidates participated in it.

The exam is conducted twice every year for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as an assistant professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam was initially scheduled for June but was postponed due to reports of malpractice, which necessitated a rescheduling. Candidates should continue to check the NTA website for updates and ensure they are prepared with the correct examination details and documentation.
