Shatabdi Boys' Hostel of Allahabad University hosts Seminar on Youth's Role in Eradicating Ragging

Today, the Shatabdi Boys' Hostel of Allahabad University organized a seminar on the theme "Youth Sensitisation for Abatement of Ragging in Academic Institutions" as part of the "Anti-Ragging Week" celebrations. The seminar followed a tree-planting event and was presided over by Prof. Rahul Patel, Superintendent of the Shatabdi Boys' Hostel, with Dr. Mrityunjay Rao Parmar, Assistant Superintendent, serving as the event convener. The seminar featured Dr. Chandranshu Sinha, Head of the Department of Psychology, Allahabad University, and Dr. Avinash Kumar Srivastava from the Institute of Gandhian Thought and Peace Studies as speakers.
Dr. Chandranshu Sinha and Dr. Avinash Kumar Srivastava were present as speakers in the seminar.
Allahabad University is observing Anti-Ragging Week from August 12 to 18, and as part of this initiative, today's seminar aimed to encourage hostel residents to abstain from ragging and promote harmonious living. Prior to the seminar, a tree-planting event was organized at the hostel. During the seminar, Dr. Chandranshu Sinha discussed the technical aspects of ragging and methods for its prevention, while Dr. Avinash Kumar Srivastava highlighted the practical implications of ragging and emphasized the importance of living in harmony. Following their presentations, Hostel Superintendent Prof. Rahul Patel urged all students to adhere to the rules, and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mrityunjay Rao Parmar encouraged everyone to contribute to creating a positive academic environment.
