CUET UG 2024: 50% of Undergraduate seats have been filled in DU so far, know the further admission process



Under the Common Seat Allocation System, 50% seats have been filled in the first phase of undergraduate admission in Delhi University. According to information received from DU, a total of 46171 students took admission till 5 pm on August 20. Keeping in mind the vacant seats in many colleges, DU has allotted 97387 seats, more than 35% of the prescribed number this time. In which 83678 students accepted the seats in the first round. DU says that 11224 students have confirmed their seats. 27613 have opted for upgrade after paying the admission fee.

In the first round of Delhi University’s undergraduate (UG) admissions, more than 46,000 seats, out of the 71,600 available, have been secured by students, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.

The university is set to begin classes for the 2024-25 academic year on August 29, a delay from the original start date of August 1 due to the postponement of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results.

75 percent of the seats in major subjects have been filled in many colleges of North Campus. The time for fee payment under the first counseling in DU is till 5 pm on August 21. After this, DU will once again release the list of vacant seats. After that, admission for the second list will start from August 25. DU has announced to start the session from August 29 along with the admission of the second counseling. Colleges have started preparing for the orientation program along with admission. Many colleges are preparing to do it in both offline and online roles.

DU will start admission under second counseling from 25th

- DU's admission branch will release the list of vacant seats left in the first round on the dashboard at 5 pm on August 22

- Students can re-arrange college and course preferences till August 23 at 4:59 pm.

- Second list of seat allotment will be released on August 25 at 5 pm

The admission process will begin from August 26.

- Candidates can accept the seat till 27th August

- Candidates' applications will be accepted till August 29

- Students have to confirm their admission by paying the fees by 30th August

Trial Starts Today : आज से ट्रायल शुरू

Sports trials have started in Delhi University from today. Candidates can get information from the website https://admission.uod.ac.in/?UG-Admissions/ECA-and-Sports. Selection trials for various sports will be held on August 21. These trials will be held in various colleges and places, where players will be able to showcase their sports ability. The reporting time for all sports has been set at 9 am. Players have been instructed to reach on time and participate in the selection process. Selected players will be prepared for the upcoming university sports competitions.

Mark sheet of NCC-NSS certificates released : एनसीसी- एनएसएस प्रमाणपत्रों की अंक तालिका जारी

DU has released the category-wise marks of all the candidates of NCC and NSS on its website. Apart from this, a notification has been issued giving information about the marks of the uploaded ECA certificates and the grievance redressal process. As per the guidelines of the CSAS ECA Supernumerary Quota of the University, if any candidate has any complaint in the marks of certificates of NCC and NSS categories, it will be resolved by the ECA Grievance Redressal Committee of the University. Candidates can register their complaint by clicking on https://forms.gle/2iJNkNnauHgF1ZDYA. Filling multiple forms for the same complaint may result in cancellation of your candidature for the ECA category. This grievance redressal form link will be active only till 11:59 pm on August 22. Candidates will receive the reply to the complaint on the email ID given in the form. The reply will be given by the Grievance Committee by August 24.
