IGNOU Extends Admission Deadline for July 2024 Session to August 31, Admission started for MA Jyotish and Bhagavadgita in IGNOU

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for admission to its various Bachelor’s, Master’s, Certificate, Diploma, and PG Diploma programs for the July 2024 session. The new deadline for fresh admissions is now August 31, 2024.

According to Prof. Anand Kumar Singh, the coordinator of the IGNOU Study Center at Hindu College, Scheduled Caste students are eligible for fee exemptions in traditional undergraduate programs like BA, BSc, and BCom, as per government rules. Additionally, new courses such as MA in Astrology and MA in Bhagavad Gita have been introduced from this session at the Hindu College study center.

Admission is also open for several employment-oriented programs, including BBA, BCA, BLib, BSW, BA (Hons), MA in Hindi, Sociology, Psychology, History, MBA, MCA, MSW, and MLib. 

Furthermore, IGNOU has also extended the re-registration deadline to August 31 for students who have yet to re-register for their next class. For detailed information, applicants and students can visit the IGNOU Study Centre on Sundays between 10 AM to 3 PM.

Ignou Extends Admission Deadline

This registration deadline extension has been implemented for all programmes offered in ODL/ online mode.

Earlier, the deadline was extended till August 14, which has now been extended till August 31.

applicant must have the following documents while applying for IGNOU courses:-

— Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)

— Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)

— Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)

— Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)

— Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)

Interested students of the online courses can apply at the official IGNOU website — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. However, the ODL portal is ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

For fresh admissions, students interested in enrolling in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes can apply through the designated ODL and online portals.

For re-registration, the existing students who need to re-register for the next semester or academic year can do so through the re-registration portal. This process is crucial for continuing their studies without interruption.

Fill in the registration form with necessary details

Once registered, log in with the credentials provided

Indira Gandhi National Open University के सत्र 24 के पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए ऑनलाइन एवं ओडीएल मोड (दूरस्थ शिक्षा) में नामांकन व पुनः पंजीकरण के लिए आवेदन पत्र जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 31 अगस्त तक बढ़ा दी गई है । अभ्यर्थी स्नातक , सर्टिफिकेट, डिप्लोमा या स्नातकोत्तर कार्यक्रम में नवीन प्रवेश व द्वितीय या तृतीय वर्ष के लिए फिर पंजीकरण करवा सकते हैं। नियमित रूप किसी महाविद्यालय व विश्वविद्यालय में अध्यनरत छात्र भी दूरस्थ पाठ्यक्रम से अन्य किसी विषय के साथ डिग्री, डिप्लोमा व सर्टिफिकेट के पाठ्यक्रम में प्रवेश ले सकते हैं। जुलाई 2024 के प्रवेश सत्र में एमबीए के 6 पाठ्यक्रमों में इग्नू में प्रवेश दिया जा रहा है। स्नातक बीए, बीएससी, बीकॉम के पाठ्यक्रमों में अनुसूचित जाति व जनजाति के छात्रों के निःशुल्क प्रवेश की व्यवस्था है। क्षेत्रीय निदेशक डॉ. संतन कुमार राम ने बताया कि जनहित में इग्नू ने प्रवेश तिथि का विस्तार किया है। इग्नू की वेबसाइट https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ पर जाकर छात्र ऑनलाइन नामांकन करा सकते हैं।
