IGNOU Admission 2024: IGNOU Admission 2024-25 July Session Last Date Extended

IGNOU Admission 2024: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for its July session admissions till August 14, 2024, for all programs offered through ODL and Online modes. Admissions into the IGNOU was started on 1 May 2024. Students must meet the eligibilty criteria required to get admission into IGNOU, as admissions into some of the IGNOU’s programs are based on merit scores (marks secured in the respective qualifying examination) where whereas some courses admissions such as B.Ed, M.Ed, Post Basic B.Sc, Nursing, M.Phil, and Ph.D etc are based on entrance examinations such as CUET. Candidates interested in studying at IGNOU may fill in the application forms at the official admission portal i.e., ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is every year conducted twice. First in January and second in July. Registration for the July session is generally done in the month of December-January whereas for the July Session in the month of May. IGNOU is the largest university in the world. It is an international university that offers more than 200 distance learning programs. IGNOU’s degree is considered worldwide as it is assumed equivalent to all other accredited universities or institutes. Along with distance learning courses, IGNOU also offers Online Distance Learning (ODL) programs. Candidates unable to visit the university for offline classes like students who work, can attend lectures online. Registration for the IGNOU courses can be done both online and offline.

In today’s time, IGNOU offers courses such as UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, and PhD courses. Candidates are advised to fill out the applications some days prior to the last date. For the offline admissions candidates will need to submit the filled application form along with all the required documents attached to it to the nearby IGNOU regional centre. Candidates note that IGNOU offers limited courses in offline mode and also only some regional centres accept applications offline.
