DU Admission 2024 CSAS Round 2: 24 thousand seats allotted in the second phase of DU

Delhi University has allotted more than 24 thousand seats in the second phase of admission. Students selected for admission will have to accept it before 5 pm on Tuesday. According to the university administration, additional seats have been allotted to start the academic session on time.

Recently, the first phase of seats were allotted for undergraduate admission in the academic session 2024-25 in DU. After the completion of the first phase, allotments for the second phase have been issued by the DU administration on Sunday. According to the university administration, admission is to be taken on a total of 71 thousand 600 seats. In the first phase, admission has been done on 65 thousand 775 seats. Out of this, 43 thousand 67 students have opted for upgrade. Out of these, 20 thousand 829 students have ensured their seat by choosing the option. The DU administration has allotted 24 thousand 894 seats in the list released on Sunday. The DU administration said that additional seats have been allotted in the second phase so that the academic session can be started from August 29. According to the policy of Delhi University, the students whose applications were rejected in the first phase due to invalid certificates or documents will be given a chance in the second phase under the UR category on the basis of their merit, choice and availability of seats.

Admissions started for 917 seats in AUD Online admission started from Sunday after the first allotment list for 18 undergraduate programs was released by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University. An official statement said that 887 undergraduate seats are available in the university. Of these, 917 have been allotted. More than 33,000 candidates have applied for admission in the academic session 2024-25.

Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to ensure their admission by paying the fees by August 28. The university will then release the second allotment list on August 29.

Fees must be paid by 30

The DU administration said that the students who have been allotted seats have to accept it by 4.59 pm on August 27. They have to pay the fee by 4.59 pm on Friday, August 30. Only those students who have paid the fee will be able to choose the option of upgrading in the next round.

According to the DU administration, the allotment list for admission under different quotas will be released separately. According to DU, the allotment of performance based programs and supernumerary quota CW, ECA, sports and wards will be announced in the third round. This phase of the third round will be released soon. Applicants should keep an eye on the DU website for updated information in this regard.

DU UG Admissions 2024: Tie-Breaking Rules

Best 3 Subjects: If two or more candidates have the same CUET UG 2024 score, Delhi University will first use the percentage of aggregate marks in the best three subjects of Class XII as the initial tie-breaking criterion.

Best 4 Subjects: If the tie persists after considering the best three subjects, the university will then use the aggregate marks in the best four subjects of Class XII to determine the rank.

Best 5 Subjects: If a tie still remains, candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best five subjects of Class XII will be given preference.

Age Factor: If a tie exists even after evaluating academic scores, preference will be given to the candidate with an earlier date of birth.

Alphabetical Order: In the rare event that all other tie-breaking criteria fail, the university will determine the rank based on the alphabetical order of the candidates' names.

Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and mark sheets

Transfer Certificate (TC) or School Leaving Certificate (SLC)

Migration certificate and category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD), if applicable

Passport-sized photographs

Address proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport)

Provisional certificate from the last attended school and a character certificate from the last attended institution

Candidates who have been allocated a seat must accept their DU UG CSAS seat by August 27. Colleges have until August 29 to verify and approve online applications. The deadline for fee payment for the second allocation is August 30, 4:59 pm.

Acceptance and Payment Deadlines

Candidates shortlisted in Round-II are advised to log in to their dashboard and accept the allocation by 04:59 p.m. on Tuesday, 27 August 2024. The deadline for submitting the admission fees is 04:59 p.m. on Friday, 30 August 2024. Only those who complete the payment will be eligible to opt for an upgrade in subsequent rounds.

Upcoming Allocations and Further Information

The university will soon declare the allocations for performance-based programmes and supernumerary quotas, including CW, ECA, Sports, and Ward categories, in the third round. The schedule for the third round will be announced in due course, and candidates are advised to regularly visit the university’s admission website for updates.
