Cultural Week Concludes at Allahabad University's Sanskrit Department

Celebration Highlights Sanskrit Heritage Through Competitions

The week-long festival organized by the Sanskrit Department of Allahabad University concluded successfully on Friday. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from students in various competitions that highlighted the essence of Sanskrit literature and culture.

The festival featured competitions such as Shloka recitation, song recitation, extempore speech, poster, and slogan writing. The vibrant cultural environment allowed students to showcase their talents and deepen their connection with Sanskrit heritage.

Competition Results:

In the Shloka recitation contest, Prachi Dwivedi claimed the first position, while Aayushi and Prashant Singh secured second place. Ajit Dwivedi bagged third place, adding to the event’s competitive spirit.

The extempore speech competition saw Prashant Kumar Singh standing first, followed by Aman Shukla in second place, and Anoop Kumar Tiwari in third.

In the poster and slogan writing competition, Akanksha Mishra emerged victorious, with Arpita Yadav securing second place and Shweta Pandey taking the third spot.

The event concluded with appreciation for the participants and a renewed commitment to preserving and promoting Sanskrit traditions in academic and cultural spheres.
