BHU Fills 85% Seats in CUET UG Admissions, Third List Released Today for 800 Vacant Regular Seats

This time BHU's undergraduate courses have attracted many aspirants. Last year, after several rounds of cutoff and mop-up rounds, more than two thousand seats remained vacant. But this year, 85 percent of the undergraduate seats have been filled in just two rounds of admission process. The third list for the approximately 800 regular seats that remained vacant will be released on Tuesday.

There are a total of 8894 seats in undergraduate courses in the colleges affiliated with the main campus of BHU. A total of 7712 regular seats are available in these. There are 3480 seats in the main campus, 695 in women's college and 3537 in affiliated colleges. Apart from this, admissions are also taken in various courses in BHU on 1182 paid seats. 

The second phase of admission process was completed by 11.59 pm on Sunday. On Sunday, about 500 candidates took admission in various courses by paying online admission fee. 

According to the data received from the Central Admission Committee, after the second phase, only 800 seats are left out of 7712 regular seats. Apart from these, about 200 seats are left in 1182 paid seats. Apart from these, seats are left under various quotas and super numerical.

Central Admission Committee Chairman Prof. Bhaskar Bhattacharya said that the third round list and cutoff will be released by 6 pm on Tuesday. Like the previous two rounds, in the third round too, one seat will be allotted to only one candidate. In case the candidate is unable to pay the fee within the stipulated time, his claim will be considered over and admission will be given on the seat in the next round.

बीएचयू के स्नातक पाठ्यक्रमों ने इस बार प्रवेशार्थियों को आकर्षित किया है। पिछले साल कई राउंड के कटऑफ और मॉपअप राउंड के बाद दो हजार से ज्यादा सीटें खाली रह गई थीं। मगर इस साल दो राउंड की प्रवेश प्रक्रिया में ही स्नातक की 85 फीसदी सीटें भर चुकी हैं। खाली रह गई लगभग 800 रेगुलर सीटों के लिए तीसरी लिस्ट मंगलवार को जारी होगी।

बीएचयू के मुख्य परिसर के साथ संबद्ध महाविद्यालयों में स्नातक पाठ्यक्रमों में कुल 8894 सीटें हैं। इनमें कुल 7712 नियमित सीटें उपलब्ध हैं। मुख्य परिसर में 3480, महिला महाविद्यालय में 695 और संबद्ध महाविद्यालयों में 3537 सीटें हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त 1182 पेड सीटों पर भी बीएचयू में विभिन्न पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश लिये जाते हैं। रविवार की रात 11.59 बजे तक दूसरे चरण की प्रवेश प्रक्रिया संपन्न हुई। रविवार के दिन लगभग 500 अभ्यर्थियों ने ऑनलाइन प्रवेश शुल्क जमा कर विभिन्न पाठ्यक्रमों में एडमिशन लिया। 

केंद्रीय प्रवेश समिति से मिले आंकड़ों के मुताबिक दूसरे चरण के बाद 7712 नियमित सीटों में से मात्र 800 सीटें बची हैं। इनके अलावा 1182 पेड सीट में लगभग 200 सीटें बची हुई हैं। इनके अलावा विभिन्न कोटे और सुपर न्यूमरेरी के अंतर्गत सीटें बची हैं।

केंद्रीय प्रवेश समिति के अध्यक्ष प्रो. भास्कर भट्टाचार्य ने बताया कि मंगलवार की शाम छह बजे तक तीसरे चरण की सूची और कटऑफ जारी होगी। पिछले दो चक्रों की तरह ही तीसरे चक्र में भी एक सीट एक ही अभ्यर्थी को आवंटित की जाएगी। तय समयसीमा में फीस जमा न कर पाने की स्थिति में उसकी दावेदारी खत्म मानकर सीट पर अगले चरण का प्रवेश लिया जाएगा।
