Prayagraj: The registration process for undergraduate admissions at Allahabad University (AU) has concluded, with 39,407 candidates submitting the registration fee. The high competition can be gauged from the fact that for each seat in undergraduate courses, there are six aspirants on average.

1. Phase-1: 74,205

2. Phase -2: 69,754

3. Fee Deposited: 39,407

The university has 6,686 seats available for undergraduate programs across 11 courses. Notably, 74,205 candidates initially expressed interest by filling out the application form. However, only 39,407 candidates have taken the crucial step of submitting the registration fee, completing their application.

Admissions will be based on results from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Allahabad University will soon announce the merit list, with the registration window for the B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com programs extending until August 25.

For Ph.D. programs, competition is even steeper, with seven aspirants vying for every available seat. The university offers 1,554 seats for Ph.D. courses across various subjects, and a total of 10,813 applicants have completed the registration process.

The cutoff for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses has been issued by the university. These cutoffs, categorized by reservation groups (general, OBC, SC/ST, etc.), will guide the merit-based selection process. Additionally, colleges affiliated with AU have also released their own cutoffs to streamline admissions.

Applicants are advised to closely follow further notifications and updates from the university, as the selection process moves into the next stage.
